About

Dave Modisette is a seasoned professional musician that has over 40 years of musical experience and 15 years of recording experience..

Starting with training that began in public schools, he immediately saw success and acknowledgement of his talent and skill through multiple awards of excellence in numerous music competitions as well as acceptance in showcased honor bands.

His arranging career began in high school where he created featured adaptations of Pop tunes for 20 piece stage bands, 125 piece marching bands and symphonic concert bands. Singled out for a special award by his high school band director he received a baton from him after conducting his original arrangement of the theme from “Jesus Christ Superstar.” Later that year he was presented a trophy to honor his hard work and achievement in composition and arranging for band. In fact, his original composition “Rampage” is reportedly still being heard as a fight song at school football games today.

He soon entered into college where he continued in full time music studies and performed under the direction of highly talented conductors and composers at the Swisher School of the Arts at Jacksonville University.

His next step was when he auditioned and was accepted as a full time musician in the Air Force Band. His experienced grew under a steady concert touring schedule and his arranging skills continued to develop as he was mentored by skilled staff arrangers. Many new compositions were showcased during this time including a featured number performed before a national convention of high school band directors and later highlighted in a special film report that included a full recording session with legendary MGM Studios engineer, Ed Green. Eventually, Dave became staff arranger of the Air Force Band at Keesler AFB where he completed his tour of duty in 1979.

A handful of bands and touring across the eastern half of the United States followed and eventually he settled down in Tampa Florida. Still performing and honing his recording skills with 4 track recorders and anything he could get his hands on, Dave entered into the worship music field at Calvary Church in Brandon Florida where he quickly became the band director for the 2000 member church. There he was responsible for the church musicians as well as hiring, rehearsing and directing additional side musicians that numbered up to 20 persons for special events.

Again recording came to the forefront as he prepared special music accompaniment tapes for live performance as well as recording projects for private individuals and organizations. Whether it is a single musician or a full band, he has proven that he has the skill and leadership to get the project finished on time and within budget.

We hope to get a chance to utilize this experience to make your vision come to life with your project.
